The athletics department recently was awarded an NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women's Enhancement Internship Grant. This two-year grant will allow the athletics department to hire an intern to serve as assistant director of compliance and student-athlete well-being. The intern will be supervised by Leslie Huntington, senior women's  administrator/head softball coach, and mentored by Kim Wudi, director of compliance/head volleyball coach. The grant proposal was written by Huntington and Wudi and is the first grant of its type to be received by the athletics department. The NCAA Division III supports the internship grant program with its member institutions and conference offices by providing monetary grants for institutions and conference offices seeking to create professional administrative opportunities for minorities and women, and to enhance diversity and inclusion within their athletics administrative staffs.
