Local writers will read from selected works and their original poetry and prose at 7 p.m. Jan. 8 at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library in downtown Eau Claire. "Writers Read: Beginnings and Endings," a program organized by Bruce Taylor (emeritus), Eau Claire's poet laureate, will feature readings by Taylor, UW-Eau Claire alumni Sara Bryan and Yvette Flaten as well as English faculty members Allyson Loomis and Jon Loomis. The free event will be held in the Eau Claire Room on the library's lower level. More information.
